Our roads are extremely important to us; as one of the most rural counties in
England, they support the local economy, provide access to jobs and services, and
enable thousands of visitors to experience our beautiful coast and countryside.


We have four geographically-aligned teams who look after more than 9,000
kilometres of road, providing a comprehensive range of highways services, from
day to day maintenance through to working on some of the most exciting road
projects in the county over the next few years.


We are seeking a highly motivated individual with wide ranging knowledge and
experience in the delivery of highway services at a Senior Management level to
join our dedicated team of professionals, ensuring that our standards are
maintained and our residents, business and visitors can continue to move around
our county in safety with the minimum of disruption.


An experienced and motivated manager, you will have the knowledge and
experience of highway service delivery to provide leadership for your local team,
contribute to the overall management of the highways and transportation service
for the county as well as taking on responsibility for leading other county wide
services (eg operational delivery of our floods and drainage management work
or the countryside service etc).


You will have a proven track record in leadership and management, ideally
within the local government sector; although this is not essential, you should be
comfortable working in a political environment. Ideally you will be a Chartered
or Incorporated Civil Engineer, with significant relevant experience in partnership
working, project management, budgetary control and change management.
You will be required to travel to undertake the duties of the role.
The post will attract the payment of relocation expenses where applicable in line
with current Lincolnshire County Council Relocation Scheme.
