Abstract

Zhang Ying reports from Shanghai on how the Chinese have fallen out of love with the bicycle. She suggests a policy of creating attractive Bike-and-Ride facilities, linking cyclists with good public transport services, could spark a renaissance for the traditional Chinese bicycle.
